Got my copy from Net Galley.
I’m going to be super honest here so… Here it goes:
I WAS SO SCARED BY READING THIS BOOK! IT TOOK ME LIKE 2 WEEKS TO FINALLY FINISH THIS, BECAUSE I WAS SO FUCKING SCARED!!!
Micol Ostow wrote Amity in such a good way that I could see the image she wrote, I saw the scary “red room” (btw this is the only thing I’m going to tell you about what’s inside the book, I don’t want to spoil anything and I might get scared again.) You probably figured out that this book falls under the horror genre and revolves around the house called Amity (Amity is based on the Amityville horrors but purely wrote in fiction… I hope)
I refused to read this book at night, and failed I read it and suddenly heard strange noises in my room, so I stopped. To tell you how scared I was… I would read this with the lights on and my window curtains open (there was sunlight), that is how good this book was. It felt like I was watching all the extremely scary horror movies while reading this book.
Would I read this book again? Yes but certainly with the lights on (still).
Buy Amity here.
