Spirit Conjuring for Witches: Magical Evocation Simplified by Frater Barrabbas

I was given a free copy by NetGalley and Llewellyn in exchange for an honest review. All my opinions are my own.

WARNING: Not totally beginner friendly. There were terms that I had to look up for me to understand them properly, I needed to search for a lot of things even thought this book was well written. I know it said SIMPLIFIED but I felt lost in some parts.

“The greatest Witches of legend and folklore practiced their craft through spirit conjuration and employing a familiar spirit. Now, centuries later, this art, once the supposed proclivity of ceremonial magicians, can be acquired and mastered by Modern Witches using only the enhanced tools and methodologies that they already possess. Without having to invest a lot of time, money, and effort, the average Modern Witch can adopt certain practices and techniques to safely and competently perform invocations, evocations and travel the Spirit World like the Witches of legend.”

Barrabbas’s writing style is engaging and absolutely informative, but with a beginner like me, you can get lost with a whole lot of things. I had to constantly check my laptop for my notes while reading.

The book is written in like a textbook would be written but you know an interesting textbook.

3.5 stars out of 5 just because of all the note taking I had to do. haha

*also if you don’t like magic/spirits/witchcraft/etc.. Don’t read this.

Angels of Love by Grant and Melissa Virtue

I was given an ARC by NetGalley and Hay House UK in exchange for an honest review.

Real life married couple Grant and Melissa Virtue wrote a book about how to ask the angels to help us find our own perfect relationship.

“Finding a soul mate and life partner is only half the story. Once you actually have a wonderful relationship, it’s important to take definitive steps to keep it. Grant and Melissa Virtue, a husband-and-wife team, offer a variety of tools and techniques to create and maintain a healthy relationship: meditations, writing exercises, affirmations, prayers, and more. Readers will also learn how to call on the Angels of Love, a council of angels dedicated to helping soul-mate relationships. Practical advice will help readers understand how to recognize the right relationship, release the baggage from their past, attract love into their lives, and be present in a relationship.”

Okay, first of all this is like a workbook which I wasn’t prepared for, I just wanted to read and not go into my feelings. omg. But in all seriousness the book is great at what it’s suppose to do. If you’re in a relationship well this can help you both.

I’m not in a relationship and to be really honest, I didn’t want to do the exercises sometimes… Not because I didn’t like it, I was a bit scared that maybe there was something wrong with me and shit.

I’m fine, I survived. hahaha but it does work if you want to go on this spiritual love journey and it’s beginner friendly so that helps a lot.

4 out of 5 stars because it made me journal like crazy hahaha.
